Dear Jackie, Jessica & Jeremy, I was saddened to hear about your husband, father & my long time friend Bert's sudden passing. I have known him for over 45 years & met him when I was in high school. I probably would have never joined the Army if he hadn't convinced me it was the smart thing to do since I had no job skills right out of high school. I thank him for that. He was so right! Because of his kind heart I got to know you and the family really well when you opened your home and hearts to me when I fell on hard tmes and had no place to stay. You made me feel like part of the family when I had none. His type of friendship was one in a million and I I'm grateful he was in my life I will truly miss him. Until we meet again my friend.
